FROM BUZIOS TO ILHA GRANDE (VAN/BOAT/VAN) SHARED SHUTTLE

Your transport from Buzios to Abraao on Ilha Grande is a combo of three different transports linked together.  First you are picked up from your hotel in Buzios in a van which drops you at the airport in Rio, where you are picked up by another van transfer which takes you to Conceição de Jacarei. You then board a speed boat to Abraao on Ilha Grande.

First Departure

Pickup from Buzios between 05.00 am and a transfer 4 hours to the Rio airport.  A different van passes the airport to pick you up between 11.00 am and you drive 2 hours south where you change to a speed boat. Estimated arrival time at the Abraao pier on Ilha Grande is at 2.30 pm

Second Departure

Pickup from Buzios between 08:00am and a transfers 4 hours to the Rio airport.  A different van passes the airport to pick you up between 15:00 and you drive 2 hours south where you change to a speed boat. Estimated arrival time at 18:30pm.

Important Information

In Buzios, pick ups are only made from accessible hotels, pousadas, and hostels located on the Buzios peninsular. Not private residents (eg Airbnb).

Once at the GIG international airport you wait until you are picked up by a shared transfer to Ilha Grande. This gives you plenty of time to get food, use ATM to get cash (there are no cash machines on Ilha Grande), and get to the meeting point in time for the transfer pickup. The airport also has free WIFI.

The journey time advertised on our website is based on travel during good weather and normal traffic conditions. We do not take responsibility for unexpected delays caused by circumstances out of our control. 

Luggage allowance is one standard sized principal suitcase/backpack, and 1 smaller carry-on bag per person.

You arrive to the main pier of Abraao on Ilha Grande, and you make your own way from there to your accommodation.
